1. Who we are

Employment Wanted is a talent and project marketplace developed and operated by its founder and co-founder. It connects employers with candidates and independent professionals through profiles, project opportunities, matching and collaboration features.

This page covers information handled through Employment Wanted. For privacy questions, account-data requests or concerns, use our Contact page.

2. Information involved in our services

Only submit documents and personal information requested by the relevant form. Avoid placing identity numbers, passwords, payment credentials or unrelated sensitive information in public profiles or project instructions.

3. Social sign-in

If you choose Google, Yahoo or LinkedIn sign-in, the configured provider supplies account information after you authorize the requested access. This can include your name, email address and profile image. Provider account identifiers and email-verification information may also be processed during authentication.

The implemented account flow uses the provider information to create or sign into an Employment Wanted account and stores the associated name, email, avatar and provider information. Existing accounts keep their stored Candidate or Employer role; new social accounts use the selected signup role when supplied.

Our LinkedIn sign-in requests the openid, profile and email scopes. The current flow requires a verified email from LinkedIn; if it is unavailable, use another sign-in method. These permissions do not request access to your LinkedIn connections or permission to publish posts on your behalf.

You can review or revoke the application’s access in the provider’s account settings. Revoking that access does not itself remove the Employment Wanted account or information already stored here. Request deletion separately through Contact.

4. How information is used

  • Create and authenticate accounts and maintain sessions.
  • Complete onboarding and display information associated with your profile.
  • Support candidate discovery and matching using relevant profile attributes.
  • Publish projects, process bids and facilitate project collaboration.
  • Verify payments and maintain point, transaction, escrow or refund records where those features are used.
  • Respond to support requests and investigate account or service problems.

5. Profiles, projects and collaboration

Information you include in a profile, portfolio or project listing may be displayed through profile, marketplace, matching or project features. Project applications and bids are used in the employer’s hiring workflow. Messages and workspace files are shared through the relevant collaboration features.

Information provided to another person through the platform may also be copied or retained by that person. Removing it from Employment Wanted cannot guarantee removal of copies held outside the platform.

6. Service providers and external content

The documented platform uses the following services or components:

  • Vercel: Hosts the website and deployed application services. Provider privacy information.
  • MongoDB database: Stores application records. The database hosting provider and location must be confirmed before this policy is finalized.
  • Cloudinary: Handles profile-image uploads in the implemented avatar workflow. Provider privacy information.
  • Razorpay: Processes checkout and supplies payment information used for server-side payment verification. Provider privacy information.
  • Google, Yahoo and LinkedIn: Provide social authentication when their sign-in options are configured and used.
  • Configured email / SMTP service: Delivers account email, including password-reset messages. The current delivery provider must be confirmed.
  • Simple Icons CDN and linked websites: The landing page requests several company logos from cdn.simpleicons.org. External requests disclose connection information, such as IP address and browser details, to the receiving service. Opening company links takes you to their websites.

External services apply their own terms and privacy notices to their services. The information sent to each service depends on the feature used. Service and database locations, including any cross-border processing, must be confirmed as part of finalizing this policy.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Employment Wanted uses session cookies to recognize an authenticated session. The frontend may also use browser storage for compatibility or interface state. Clearing cookies or blocking them can sign you out or prevent features that depend on a session from working.

Social sign-in and payment-provider pages may use their own cookies. Review those providers’ notices and your browser settings for their controls.

8. Matching and recommendations

Matching uses profile and search information, such as skills, categories and experience, to filter or rank candidates for an employer’s requirements. Recommendations assist discovery and do not guarantee employment, project selection or a successful outcome.

If you believe profile information used for matching is incorrect, update the editable fields or contact us for help with locked fields such as name or country.

9. Retention and deletion requests

Account, profile, project and transaction information is stored as part of operating the platform. You can request account closure or deletion of personal information through Contact. Please identify the account and describe the information or service concerned, without including passwords or full identity numbers.

The team may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Any information that must be retained for a legal obligation, transaction record or unresolved dispute needs to be considered when handling deletion. Deletion of your account does not automatically delete another participant’s independent records or copies.

10. Your choices and privacy requests

  • Review and update profile fields available in your account.
  • Request corrections to locked account details through Contact.
  • Ask about access to your account information or request a copy.
  • Request account closure, deletion or withdrawal of consent for a specified use.
  • Raise a privacy concern or ask which services receive your information.

Available rights depend on applicable law and the circumstances of the request. Withdrawing permission needed for a feature may affect the availability of that feature. Provider access can also be managed in the relevant social-account settings.

11. Account security

The documented password-account flow stores a bcrypt password hash rather than a plaintext password. Payment verification is performed on the server before purchased points are credited. These controls do not establish that every record, upload or provider system has the same protections.

Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not send passwords, card security codes or full identity-document numbers through the Contact form.

12. Updates and contact

This page is intended to describe Employment Wanted’s data practices. Changes to the platform or its providers require the privacy information to be reviewed and updated. The date at the top identifies the version shown.

For privacy enquiries or requests, visit employmentwanted.com/contact. If you want to withdraw permission for a published testimonial, identify the quote or profile concerned. The testimonial component is currently empty and displays no user testimonial.
